Rhode Island Employees Retirement System, Providence, returned a net 8.9% for the fiscal year ended June 30, above its policy benchmark return of 7.1%, according to a monthly investment report from the Rhode Island State Investment Commission.
For the three, five, 10 and 15 years ended June 30, the $10.5 billion pension fund returned an annualized net 10.5%, 8.3%, 7.8% and 6.6%, respectively, above their respective benchmarks of 9.7%, 7.4%, 7.2% and 6.2%.
The pension fund had returned a net -1.4% for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022.
