Jill Davys joined consultant Redington as head of LGPS, a spokesman confirmed.
The position is new, and Ms. Davys joined late last month.
The consultant, which had local government pension scheme assets under advisement of about £20 billion ($27.2 billion) as of Dec. 31, has "continually been increasing" its exposure to LGPS clients, an emailed statement said. "Jill will not only help us respond to the increased demand we're seeing but also deepen our specialist LGPS expertise and enhance our ability to support the ever-changing needs of this important segment. We believe Redington can offer this market something genuinely valuable and different — particularly within risk management and responsible investment — so Jill and her team will be working to grow our presence and further expand our offering here."
Ms. Davys is responsible for building closer relationships with key LGPS stakeholders.
She was assistant director of investments for the £15.3 billion West Midlands Pension Fund, Wolverhampton, England. A spokesman said she was replaced by Tom Davies.
