Eloy Lindeijer will leave as CIO of PGGM, the manager of the €238.4 billion ($267 billion) Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn, Zeist, Netherlands, Oct. 1.
Mr. Lindeijer will continue his career in the field of long-term and responsible investing, a news release said. Further information was not available.
Mr. Lindeijer will remain until Oct. 1 to ensure a smooth transition to his successor. The search is underway, a spokesman confirmed.
"I am very grateful for Eloy's contribution during the past nine years, helping us evolve and move forward in an ever changing and challenging landscape. PGGM has consistently delivered good long-term investment returns and enabled our clients to implement investment strategies that are more sustainable and impact driven,'' Edwin Velzel, CEO at PGGM, said in the release.
PGGM managed €252 billion as of Dec. 31.
