Celine Chiovitti has been named chief pension officer at Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System, Toronto, a spokesperson confirmed.
Chiovitti has been at OMERS for more than 10 years and most recently served as executive vice president and head of pensions for the past two years.
As the chief pension officer, she will build on the "positive and significant impact she has made at OMERS," the spokesperson noted.
The spokesperson added that "with this promotion, Celine continues to lead all pension operations OMERS."
The spokesperson also noted that Chiovitti's former role "has evolved into the chief pension officer role."
OMERS has C$127.4 billion ($95 billion) in net assets.
