Hami Ebrahimi, a managing director at OMERS Private Equity, left the equity investment arm of the C$109 billion ($77.2 billion) Ontario Municipal Employees' Retirement System, Toronto, said an internal memo obtained by Pensions & Investments.
"After 10 years at OPE, today will be my last day at OMERS," Mr. Ebrahimi wrote in the memo sent May 15. "I have decided to take the plunge and go run a business."
He has left the firm to be president of Protech Automotive Solutions, an arm of Caliber Collision Centers, a portfolio company in which OMERS continues to hold a minority stake.
A successor for Mr. Ebrahimi has not been announced.
