Sarah Green was named executive director of the Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System, the $22 billion pension fund said in a news release.
Ms. Green succeeds Tom Spencer, who retired June 30.
She has served as general counsel for the Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System since 2018. Prior to that, she was a partner at Bullard & Associates, an Oklahoma City-based law firm.
Ms. Green assumed her new position July 12.
"A national search made it clear that the right person to lead this agency was already here," said Brandon Meyer, chairman of the board of trustees for the pension fund, in the news release. "Sarah understands our agency, the needs of our members and the opportunities that lie ahead."
