The Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, posted a net return of 4% for the fiscal year ended June 30, according to Troy Brown, executive director at AndCo Consulting, the pension fund's investment consultant.
The one-year return fell short of the policy benchmark of 4.7%, Mr. Brown said.
For the three, five and 10 years ended June 30, the $2.9 billion pension fund returned an annualized net 7.8%, 7.7% and 9.7%, respectively, compared with the three-, five- and 10-year respective benchmarks of 7.3%, 7.4% and 9.8%.
The fund returned a net 7.7% for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019.
