Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, posted a net return of 31.8% for the fiscal year ended June 30, according to Troy Brown, executive director at AndCo Consulting, the pension fund's investment consultant.
The one-year return surpassed the policy benchmark of 27.6%, Mr. Brown said in an email.
The $3.7 billion pension also beat policy benchmarks on a three-, five and 10-year basis, earning an annualized net of 13.9%, 13.5% and 10.6%, respectively. The benchmark returns for the respective periods were 12.7%, 12.2% and 10.2%.
The Oklahoma firefighters pension fund returned a net 4% for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020.
