New York City Retirement Systems posted a net return of 25.8% for the fiscal year ended June 30, a spokesman for Scott Stringer, the city comptroller and fiduciary of the five funds within the $266.1 billion retirement system, confirmed in an email.
The annualized three-year return was 12.1% and the annualized five-year return was 11.6%.
The return for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020, was 4.4%.
The five pension funds in the retirement system had net returns ranging from 24.8% to 28% for the just-completed fiscal year, according to information posted on the comptroller's website.
The website said the aggregate asset allocation as of June 30 was 29.8% U.S. equity, 27.1% fixed income, 11.1% international equity, 8.4% alternative credit, 7.5% emerging markets equity, 6.9% private equity, 4.5% private real estate and the rest in other.
