Missouri State Employees' Retirement System, Jefferson City, is searching for a new chief investment officer.
The $9 billion pension fund has launched the search due to the impending retirement of current CIO Shannon Davidson in the fourth quarter of 2021, spokeswoman Candy Smith said in an email.
Mr. Davidson has been CIO since February 2020 when he was given the permanent position after several months as interim CIO following the resignation of then-CIO Seth Kelly in December 2019.
Mr. Davidson has been with MOSERS in various investment-related positions since April 1996 and served as deputy CIO beginning in January 2015 until Mr. Kelly's resignation.
He plans to retire sometime between Oct. 1 and Jan. 1, 2022, Ms. Smith said.
MOSERS has posted a brochure for applicants on its website. The deadline for applications is April 30. Finalist interviews are scheduled for June 2 or June 3. The new CIO's potential start date is Sept. 1 to Jan. 1.
