Brian Collett will retire as the chief investment officer of the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System, Jefferson City, Mo., effective Jan. 31, 2024.
Since Collett initially joined Missouri LAGERS in 2005, assets under management have grown to $10.1 billion from $2.9 billion, said a Dec. 20 release.
For the 15-year period through Sept. 30, 2023, the system delivered an average annualized return of 8.5%, outperforming its benchmark by 1.8%, the release noted.
Missouri LAGERS also said that it plans to retain an executive search firm to find the next CIO. Megan Loehner, deputy CIO, will oversee the day-to-day management of the portfolio in the interim.
