Nik Amlizan Mohamed was named CEO at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), the Kuala Lumpur-based pension fund for federal government and agency employees, effective Nov. 2.
Ms. Nik Amlizan replaces Syed Hamadah Syed Othman. Mr. Syed Hamadah's two-year appointment ended on Oct. 31, an announcement by the 140 billion ringgit ($33.7 billion) fund said.
Amirah Kamarulzaman, a spokeswoman for KWAP, could not be reached for comment.
Ms. Nik Amlizan returns to KWAP from Malaysia's Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT), Kuala Lumpur, where she was CEO for two years. Prior to that she was CIO at KWAP.
An LTAT spokesman said a replacement has yet to be named. LTAT's assets were not immediately available.
