Andrew Sawyer, chief investment officer of the $15.1 billion Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta, has left the pension fund.
James Bennett, deputy CIO, has been named acting CIO, said Sandy Matheson, executive director, in an email.
Ms. Matheson said Mr. Sawyer left in early November. She would not provide further information about Mr. Sawyer's departure.
The pension fund will issue an RFP for an executive search firm to seek a permanent replacement for Mr. Sawyer, she said. The search is to begin sometime in January.
