Ray Joseph resigned as CIO of the $29.7 billion Los Angeles Fire & Police Pensions after 11 months on the job, said Ray Ciranna, general manager, in an email.
Mr. Joseph resigned for personal reasons, Mr. Ciranna said. The resignation is effective immediately.
Mr. Ciranna will take on CIO duties until a replacement is named, he said. Plans to fill the CIO position are currently being developed, including the hiring of an executive search firm.
Mr. Joseph joined LAFPP on June 14 from Wilshire Associates, where he was a vice president for three years. He could not be immediately reached for comment.
