Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System’s board could decide at its Jan.28 meeting whether to select a search process to replace General Manager Neil M. Guglielmo, who plans to retire at the end of March.
The board at its Jan. 14 meeting directed staff to come back at the Jan. 28 meeting with a suggested search process, which could include hiring an outside search firm or running the search process or both.
Guglielmo has been general manager for the $23.8 billion pension fund since 2018. Before that he had been the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power’s chief financial officer.
