Elizabeth B.A. Miller, chief investment officer of the $26.5 billion Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, Topeka, is retiring effective July 8.
Ms. Miller's retirement brings an end to her second tenure as CIO at the pension fund, a news release said Wednesday. She rejoined KPERS in 2011 after serving as its first CIO from 1991 to 1996.
Bruce Fink, deputy CIO for public markets, will serve as interim CIO. The pension fund is working with executive search firm EFL Associates to conduct a search for a permanent replacement.
