Jenny Yoe, former head of the U.K. institutional team at Newton Investment Management, has left her position after nearly four years in the role, as confirmed to Pensions & Investments by Newton.
At Newton, a unit of BNY (formerly BNY Mellon), Yoe’s team served a wide range of clients including defined benefit, defined contribution, and local government pension funds, as well as charities, foundations, insurance companies and endowments. The team’s responsibilities also included client relationship management, business development and consultant relations.
According to a spokesperson at Newton, consultant related responsibilities will now be managed by a newly established global consultant team led by James Blake, head of global consultant relations. Client service responsibilities will be absorbed into a newly created global client services team under the leadership of Karen Henry, head of client services, and Jack Martin, head of commercial delivery. Yoe’s further responsibilities will be absorbed across the business.
The Newton spokesperson declined to comment on reasons behind Yoe’s departure. Newton Investment Management is part of global asset management firm BNY.
Prior to joining Newton, Yoe was managing director, head of U.K. & Ireland institutional at State Street Global Advisors.
Yoe is currently listed as a freelance independent consultant on social media site LinkedIn, and has been contacted regarding her next career steps.
