State Universities Retirement System of Illinois, Champaign, is searching for an executive search firm to assist the $21.2 billion pension fund in its search for a new executive director.
SURS issued an RFP on Monday for a search firm following the Feb. 18 resignation of Martin Noven, said Beth A. Spencer, pension fund spokeswoman.
Suzanne Mayer, SURS' chief benefits officer, is interim executive director.
The RFP is available on SURS' website. Proposals are due at 4:30 p.m. PDT on April 16. A selection is expected by May 3.
