Regina M. Tuczak was named finance director and assistant executive director at the $6.5 billion Illinois Police Officers' Pension Investment Fund, Peoria.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman said in an email. Ms. Tuczak, who joins the fund on Monday, was previously executive director of the $14.6 billion Cook County Employees' and Officers' Annuity & Benefit Fund and the Cook County Forest Preserve District Employees' Annuity & Benefit Fund, both of Chicago.
Ms. Tuczak's exit from the Cook County funds is the second high-profile departure in the past four months. Fernando Vinzons, its top investment official as director of investments, left in July to become the new chief investment officer of the $13.1 billion Chicago Public School Teachers' Pension & Retirement Fund. A replacement has yet to be announced.
Officials at the Cook County fund could not be immediately reached for further information.
