Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Co., San Jose, Calif., plans to contribute about $182 million to its non-U.S. pension plans in the fiscal year ending Oct. 31, 2020.
The technology company contributed a total of $166 million to its global pension plans in the fiscal year ended Oct. 31, it disclosed in a 10-K filing with the SEC Friday.
As of Oct. 31, non-U.S. pension plan assets totaled $13.434 billion, while projected benefit obligations totaled $14.225 billion, for a funding ratio of 94.4%, down from 96% a year earlier.
Also as of that date, the discount rate for non-U.S. pension plans was 2.1%, up from 2% a year earlier.
The company's U.S. pension plans are unfunded, according to the 10-K filing.
As of Oct. 31, the actual allocation of the non-U.S. pension plans was: 55.4% fixed income, 19.1% equities, 17.6% alternatives, 3.6% cash and cash equivalents, 2.7% other and 1.6% real estate.
