Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co., Houston, plans to contribute $199 million to its non-U.S. pension plans in the fiscal year ending Oct. 31, 2022.
The company announced the contributions to its pension plans, which are based primarily in the United Kingdom and Germany, in its 10-K filing with the SEC Friday.
HPE contributed $167 million to the plans during its fiscal year ending Oct. 31.
The company does not have any U.S.-based qualified pension plans.
As of Oct. 31, the pension plans' assets totaled $15.354 billion, while projected benefit obligations totaled $14.872 billion, for a funding ratio of 103.2%, up from 95.2% a year earlier.
The discount rate as of Oct. 31 was 1%, down from 1.2% a year earlier.
As of Oct. 31, the actual allocation of HPE's non-U.S. pension plans was 63.1% fixed income, 18.8% public equities, 12.6% private/hybrid equities, 2.9% real estate and other investments and 2.6% cash and cash equivalents.
