James Chemirmir was named U.K. pensions director at GlaxoSmithKline PLC, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Chemirmir is responsible for the £13 billion ($15.8 billion) pension fund and a £300 million defined contribution section.
He replaced Dan McDonald, who was named head of pensions for the U.K. at global shipping company DHL International.
Mr. Chemirmir most recently worked at Ernst & Young as actuarial manager.
