The position oversees the board's fixed-income portfolios and short-term funds for all the state assets the board oversees, according to the Nov. 8 posting.
The senior investment officer-fixed income develops and implements strategic objectives and leads the portfolio management team for the asset class.

It is the latest vacancy for the board's investment staff that has seen a flurry of departures over the past year. As of Sept. 30, the SBA had 88 investment staff professionals, down from 108 a year earlier, according to data provided to Pensions & Investments by the Florida State Board of Administration.
A year earlier Ashbel C. "Ash" Williams Jr. retired as executive director and chief investment officer. Mr. Williams had headed the board since 2008, and his 13-year run at the head of one of the largest U.S. asset owners is his second, having previously led the board from 1991 to 1996.
Upon Mr. Williams' retirement, Lamar Taylor, the board's chief operating and financial officer, has served as interim executive director and CIO and remains in that position over a year later. Also departing in the past year was Alison Romano, the board's deputy CIO, who joined the $32.7 billion San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System in June as its CEO and CIO.
The annual salary range for senior investment officer-fixed income is between $196,100 and $284,400, according to the job listing. No specific deadline for applicants is provided. Further details are available on the SBA's website.
