Carl Pettersson was named CEO at Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Co., Helsinki, replacing the firm's interim CEO.
Mr. Pettersson will join in the fall, a news release said.
Hanna Hiidenpalo, CIO, had been interim CEO since March 16, replacing Satu Huber.
"Carl Pettersson has strong expertise in the financial services, investment and pension insurance sectors, as well as a solid track record of successful leadership in a regulated business environment," Antti Aho, chairman of the Elo board, said in the release. "He has the experience and expertise to lead Elo as the company moves into the next strategy period."
A spokeswoman for the €25.9 billion ($30.4 billion) provider said his exact start date was not yet known.
Mr. Pettersson will join from Veritas Pension Insurance, where he has been CEO since September 2017. Tommy Sandas, deputy chief financial officer, will become interim CEO effective April 12, pending the appointment of a permanent replacement, a statement posted on Veritas' website said. Veritas had €3.9 billion in assets as of Dec. 31.
