Entergy Corp., New Orleans, plans to contribute $216 million to its pension plans in 2020, the company disclosed Friday in a 10-K filing with the SEC.
The company contributed $399 million to the plans in 2019 and $384 million in 2018.
As of Dec. 31, pension plan assets totaled $6.271 billion, while projected benefit obligations totaled $8.406 billion, for a funding ratio of 74.6%, up from 74.2% a year earlier.
The discount rates for the company's qualified pension plans ranged from 3.26% to 3.43% as of Dec. 31, down from a range of 4.37% to 4.52% a year earlier.
As of Dec. 31, the actual allocation was: 58.2% equities, 41.2% fixed income and 0.6% other.
