Patrick Sahm was named interim chief investment officer of the District of Columbia Retirement Board.
He replaces Mark Spindel, who left the $10.8 billion pension fund on July 30, a news release said Monday.The reason for his departure was not provided. Mr. Spindel joined the pension fund as CIO in August 2020, succeeding Jeffrey Barnette, who resigned in 2019.
Mr. Sahm was previously DCRB's senior investment strategist.
Betty Ann Kane, interim executive director, said the board has yet to determine details about a search for a permanent replacement.
