Sheila Morgan-Johnson, executive director of the District of Columbia Retirement Board, is retiring.
She has been executive director of the $10 billion pension fund since 2017. Previously, she was the board's chief investment officer from 1991 until 2017.
Her retirement is effective March 26, according to a news release from Feb. 18.
"I feel extremely grateful and privilege to have been able (to) serve the people of the District of Columbia," Ms. Morgan-Johnson said in the news release.
According to the news release, DCRB will conduct a national search for a replacement.
Ms. Morgan-Johnson could not be immediately reached for further information.
