Dan McDonald was named head of pensions for the U.K. at global shipping company DHL International, Bonn, Germany, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. McDonald is responsible for the £1.8 billion ($2.2 billion) DHL Group Retirement Plan for U.K. employees of the DHL group of companies. Details about his predecessor could not be learned.
Mr. McDonald was previously U.K. pensions director at British multinational pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline PLC, where he was responsible for the £7.5 billion GSK Pension Scheme, Brentford, England. A GSK spokeswoman said a new director will join GSK at the beginning of September. Additional details were not disclosed.
