Heather Darlington was named executive director of Denver Employees Retirement Plan, confirmed Randall Baum, chief investment officer for the $2.3 billion pension fund.
Effective Nov. 1, she will replace Steven Hutt, who is retiring.
Ms. Darlington was the retirement plan's director of finance and operations. Ms. Darlington will be hiring her replacement, although the process has not yet started, Mr. Baum said.
In addition, the board agreed to expand its $158 million midstream energy allocation managed by Tortoise Capital Advisors beyond MLPs to include C corporations and Canadian firms.
