Frank Ieraci was named senior managing director and global head of active equities at the C$456.7 billion ($348.7 billion) Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Toronto.
Mr. Ieraci, who now joins the board’s senior management team, will lead the active equities department for the board, which also includes the sustainable investing group, said spokesman Darryl Konyenbelt.
Mr. Ieraci replaces Deborah Orida, senior managing director, who was named global head of real assets in September to replace Edwin Cass when he was chosen as the board’s first dedicated chief investment officer.
Mr. Ieraci, who reports to Mark Machin, CPPIB’s president and CEO, was previously managing director, head of research and portfolio strategy at CPPIB. He will actively seek a replacement for his prior role, Mr. Konyenbelt.
