Michael J. Hood has been named executive vice president, chief investment officer and managing director of the Church Pension Group, New York.
Mr. Hood succeeds Roger A. Sayler, who is retiring after nine years of service, said a news release Tuesday.
The appointment is immediate, spokesman C. Curtis Ritter said in an email, adding that Mr. Hood will report to Mary Kate Wold, CEO and president.
Mr. Hood was a managing director in J.P. Morgan Asset Management's multiasset solutions division. J.P. Morgan AM could not be immediately reached for further details.
Church Pension Group is a financial services organization that serves The Episcopal Church.
Church Pension Group had about $17 billion in assets as of March 31, Mr. Ritter said.
