Carlton W. Lenoir Sr. was named interim chief investment officer of the $13.1 billion Chicago Public School Teachers' Pension & Retirement Fund.
Mr. Lenoir, the pension fund's executive director, will take on the role Monday, spokeswoman Michelle L. Holleman said in an email. He replaces previous interim CIO Andrew K. Kelsen, who resigned effective Sept. 24.
Mr. Kelsen became interim CIO on Aug. 19, replacing Angela Miller-May, who left to join the $53.1 billion Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, as its new CIO.
Mr. Kelsen was also a portfolio manager for alternative investments at the Chicago Teachers' pension fund. Ms. Holleman could not immediately provide further information on a replacement for him in that role.
The pension fund will be conducting a national search for a permanent replacement for Ms. Miller-May, the news release said.
