Chicago Laborers’ & Retirement Board Employees’ Annuity & Benefit Fund approved a follow-on commitment of $10 million to buyout fund Levine Leichtman Capital Partners VII, according to the minutes of the Dec. 17 board meeting.
Information on the prior commitment to the most recent fund wasn't immediately available, but in 2017, the pension fund committed $10 million to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners VI.
LABF had $1.2 billion in assets as of Sept. 30. As of Dec. 31, 2023, private equity accounted for 5.3% of the pension fund’s assets, according to the most recent asset allocation data available.
