Charlottesville (Va.) Retirement System named three finalists in its search for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run about $24 million.
The $214 million pension fund's board at its most recent meeting approved Brown Advisory, Putnam Investments and William Blair & Co. as finalists, said Kevin Condy, director of research at investment consultant Dahab Associates, which is assisting with the search.
Mr. Condy said he currently does not have a date for finalist presentations.
The pension fund issued an RFP in August due to performance concerns with incumbent manager Allspring Global Investments. Mr. Condy said Allspring was included in the search.
Allspring spokeswoman Melissa Murphy declined to comment.
