Vincent Delisle has been named head of liquid markets at Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, Montreal, the pension fund announced Monday.
Mr. Delisle will start Aug. 3, a news release from the C$340.1 billion ($250.1 billion) pension fund said. He replaces Macky Tall, who became head of real assets and private equity at CDPQ in April.
Mr. Delisle will report to Charles Emond, president and CEO, and will sit on the executive committee and investment risk committee.
As head of liquid markets, Mr. Delisle will be responsible for leading the equity markets and fixed-income teams and co-leading CDQP's investment funds and external management team, as well as its global research team with Mr. Tall, the news release said.
Mr. Delisle was co-chief investment officer at Hexavest, an asset manager specializing in global equity. Vital Proulx, co-founder and chairman of the board at Hexavest, is now the sole CIO, the firm announced in an April news release.
