Rosie Lucchesini-Jack has been appointed director of the $41.2 billion fixed-income portfolios and David Murphy appointed as director of the $144.9 billion global equity portfolios at the California State Teachers' Retirement System, according to a news release.
Both had been senior portfolio managers and report to Geraldine Jimenez, senior investment director of public markets.
Lucchesini-Jack replaces Glenn Hosokawa, former director of fixed income, who retired from the $346.5 billion, West Sacramento-based pension fund.
Murphy replaces June Kim, who was promoted to senior investment director of total fund management.
"I look forward to working with Rosie and David in these new roles as they draw on their strong skill sets and decades of institutional investing experience to lead their teams,” said Scott Chan, CIO in the news release.
Kim’s promotion was effective July 1 and Hosokawa retired Aug. 30, said Mindy Tirapelle, a CalSTRS media relations officer. CalSTRS did not assign other officials to fill those roles during the search process.
Lucchesini-Jack and Murphy were selected following a public search.
