Victoria Barron was named head of sustainable investment at BT Pension Scheme Management, the in-house manager of the £50 billion ($61.7 billion) BT Pension Scheme, London, a spokesman said.
The role is new. Ms. Barron leads stewardship and environmental, social and governance work for the pension fund.
"Sustainable investment underpins our investment strategy and we have ambitious plans in this area. Victoria's knowledge and expertise will play a key role in helping us achieve our objectives and I'm pleased to welcome her to the team," Morten Nilsson, CEO of the fund, said in a news release Thursday.
Ms. Barron was an investment analyst at Newton Investment Management. Details of her replacement could not be immediately learned.
