Emily Benson was named head of business development for investment and fiduciary management at Brightwell.
The role is new.
Brightwell is the primary in-house manager for the BT Pension Scheme, London, and Benson has a mandate to expand this service to other defined benefit funds, a news release said.
"Brightwell truly understands the investment challenges facing DB pension schemes," said Simon Langworthy, chief commercial officer, in the release. "Emily's experience and in-depth understanding of the market will help us in developing our franchise and pipeline."
BTPS had £37.3 billion ($47.1 billion) as of June 30.
Benson was head of segregated funds within Royal London Asset Management's institutional client business. Details on any replacement were not immediately available.
