Jonas Thulin has been named chief investment officer of Third Swedish National Pension Fund, also known as AP3, succeeding Pablo Bernengo.
Bernengo will leave AP3, Stockholm, by Jan. 7 at the latest, an Oct. 6 release noted.
As reported previously by Pensions & Investments on Aug. 14, Bernengo was named CIO of Alecta, another Swedish pension fund, effective Jan. 7.
Thulin currently serves as head of asset management at Erik Penser Bank, a privately owned Swedish bank, and he will assume his position at AP3 by Jan. 4 at the latest.

AP3, one of five funds that manage capital on behalf of the Swedish state pension system, had SEK 491.5 billion ($45.4 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
