Maria Bjorklund was named head of the alternative investments group at Stockholm-based AP3, effective Feb.1.
Ms. Bjorklund, currently the fund's portfolio manager for international real estate and infrastructure, will replace Bengt Hellstrom. Mr. Hellstrom has decided to leave the managerial role after 20 years, according to a news release on the fund's website. He will continue to work at the 386.4 billion Swedish kronor ($46.5 billion) fund until further notice, the release said.
A spokeswoman could not be reached to provide additional details.
The fund's allocation to real estate and infrastructure was 77.1 billion kronor as of June 30.
