David Scudellari has joined Alberta Investment Management Corp., Edmonton, as senior executive managing director-head of international investment, effective immediately.
A spokeswoman for AIMCo said by email that this is a newly created role and that Mr. Scudellari will report to CEO Evan Siddall.
Mr. Scudellari will also serve as vice chairman of AIMCo's investment committee and oversee "several key investment functions including international expansion, credit and private debt, and management of key external relationships," according to a Monday news release.
"In addition to leading our global expansion and third-party relationships, David will play a critical role in investment leadership development and succession planning at AIMCo," Mr. Siddall noted in the release.
Mr. Scudellari was formerly at Public Sector Pension Investments, Montreal, where he served as global head of credit investments and private equity, the release said.
AIMCo has more than C$160 billion ($118 billion) in assets under management, the release noted.
PSP Investments said in a separate release Monday that Oliver Duff was named senior vice president-global head of credit investments, and Simon Marc was appointed senior vice president-global head of private equity and strategic partnerships.
Mr. Duff was formerly senior managing director and global head of credit investments at PSP. As of March 31, 2022, PSP's credit investments group managed C$21.9 billion in net assets under management.
Mr. Marc was formerly senior managing director-global head of private equity at PSP.
As of March 31, 2022, the private equity group managed C$35.4 billion in net assets under management.
PSP Investments had a total of C$230.5 billion of net assets under management as of March 31.
