Roraj Pradhananga has been named the sole chief investment officer of Veris Wealth Partners, a Feb. 11 news release said.
Also a partner and managing director of investments, he will lead processes for sourcing, due diligence and investments across asset classes, thematic research capital market analysis as well as impact measurement and management.
The change marked the completion of a succession plan at the sustainable financial adviser, which also provides outsourced CIO services for endowments, foundations and family offices.
Pradhananga had served as co-CIO alongside Michael Lent, who is a co-founder of Veris. Lent stepped down from his CIO responsibilities but is continuing to serve clients as a partner and senior adviser.
Prior to joining Veris, Pradhananga worked as a sustainable investing analyst at RobecoSAM in Zurich, as well as vice president of debt capital markets at Citigroup in New York.
“As CIO, I am 100% committed to applying and advancing Veris’ investment expertise in an environment where the impact-investing industry faces headwinds,” Pradhananga said in the release. “Our investment framework for just transition and equity, diversity and inclusion investment due diligence continue to guide aspects of our work.”
Veris also announced that Jane Swan was promoted to chief advisory officer. Previously serving as head of advisory services, she is now responsible for overseeing the firm’s service platform, advisory committee and adviser training.
The firm does not have plans to replace Swan’s former role or make other personnel changes at this time, a spokesperson noted in an email.
With offices across the U.S., including New York and San Francisco, Veris manages $2.2 billion in assets.
