Christine Kelleher was named managing director on the client portfolio management team at Strategic Investment Group, according to a Jan. 22 news release.
She will be responsible for directing the development, implementation and ongoing management of solutions for the outsourced CIO specialist’s clients. Ken Shimberg, managing director on the client portfolio management team, could not be immediately reached for more details.
Kelleher was previously chief of investments for the $1.4 billion endowment at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, which she joined in 2017. She left in December, and a job listing for her former role will be posted on USAJobs.gov, a spokesperson for the museum said in an email.
Prior to the National Gallery, Kelleher was managing director at private equity placement firm Avec Capital, New York, and senior investment officer at Georgetown University, Washington.
“All elements of her experience overseeing large endowment portfolios will be invaluable in our work,” Strategic CEO Nicole Kraus said in the news release.
Arlington, Va.-based Strategic Investment Group had $30 billion in discretionary assets under management as of Sept. 30.
