Justin Sunshine joined growth equity firm General Atlantic as a managing director, a new position, said spokeswoman Mary Armstrong in an email.
Mr. Sunshine will focus on investing in health-care companies and will be based in General Atlantic's New York office.
"We are seeing rapid and significant technological advances across health care and life sciences, presenting new opportunities to partner with talented entrepreneurs solving problems in the (sector)," General Atlantic CEO Bill Ford said in a news release.
