Nilesh Parmar was named director of U.K. institutional sales at exchange-traded fund firm WisdomTree, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The position is new. Mr. Parmar is responsible for driving the sales and business development efforts for U.K. institutional clients. He primarily focuses on money managers and private banks. Mr. Parmar reports to Ravi Azad, head of U.K. and Nordic sales.
"Bringing in-depth knowledge of the ETF market and gold (exchange-traded commodities) to the team, Nilesh will be an invaluable asset, enhancing our U.K. sales capabilities as we seek to expand our institutional presence," said Alexis Marinof, head of WisdomTree Europe, in a news release. "In his role, Nilesh will leverage the deep institutional relationships he has built over his career to expand our footprint across this key client segment."
WisdomTree has $69.5 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Parmar was an institutional relationship manager covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the World Gold Council. Details on any replacement were not available.
