Susan George was named head of asset management at alternative money manager White Oak Global Advisors.
In the newly created position, Ms. George is based in New York and reports to Darius Mozaffarian, president of White Oak Global Advisors, spokesman Jonathan Setiabrata said in an email.
Ms. George was previously head of corporate asset management at credit and distressed debt manager Garrison Investment Group.
Joseph Tansey, Garrison's founder and chief investment officer, could not be immediately reached for comment.
