Albert Trinkl was named managing director, institutional business development, at money manager Wasatch Global Investors.
It is a new position, spokesman Matson Lehtinen said. Mr. Trinkl joined the firm Thursday. His responsibilities include leading distribution in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and managing relationships with consultants and institutional clients.
He reports to Eric Bergeson, president.
Mr. Trinkl was previously head of institutional clients for the Middle East and Africa at DWS Group. DWS spokesman Kenny Juarez could not be immediately reached for further information.
As of Aug. 31, Wasatch Global Investors had $25.2 billion in assets under management.
