Vincent Costa was promoted to co-chief investment officer for equities at Voya Investment Management, effective Jan. 1, according to a news release.
Mr. Costa will work closely with Michael Pytosh, who has been CIO of equities since 2017 and head of equities since 2010, the release noted.
Kristopher Kagel, a spokesman for Voya, confirmed by email that Mr. Costa will also retain his current positions as head of the quantitative equity team and portfolio manager in Voya's large-cap value strategy group.
Voya also named James Dorment and Kristy Finnegan as co-heads of fundamental research in the equities platform, both newly created positions. Both Mr. Dorment and Ms. Finnegan will keep their portfolio management responsibilities on the value and growth strategies teams, respectively, the release added.
In addition, Voya Investment Management named Eric Ross as a senior technology analyst. Mr. Ross formerly worked at Marsico Capital Management and has 25 years of experience in covering the technology sector.
Mr. Kagel said Mr. Ross will head Voya's technology sector research.
Voya Investment Management also said it hired Leigh Todd as a senior portfolio manager on its growth strategies team, effective in December. Ms. Todd has worked for 20 years at Mellon Investments Corp., most recently as portfolio manager of growth strategies.
Mr. Kagel added that Mr. Ross and Ms. Todd will both be assuming newly created positions at the firm.
