Julie O’Neill was appointed head of client portfolio design by the Victorian Funds Management Corp., Melbourne, which invests A$85.7 billion ($57.4 billion) on behalf of 31 Victorian state government entities.
The new role was created to allow a dedicated focus on clients within the investment team, while leading the portfolio design process for client portfolios.
O’Neill will work closely with the client services team and the portfolio management group led by Gary Gabriel. She reports to Chief Investment Officer Russell Clarke.
She joins VFMC from the Insurance Commission of Western Australia where she has been CIO since 2007. The Insurance Commission of Western Australia could not be immediately reached for comment on her replacement.
