Yan Pu was named head of Vanguard Group's investment management group in China, the company said Friday.
The role is new, a spokeswoman for Vanguard said. Ms. Pu was the firm's Hong Kong-based managing director, head of portfolio review, Asia.
She will be "responsible for building and leading Vanguard's China-based investment team in providing investment solutions for clients in China," according to a Vanguard news release.
Ms. Pu reports to Daniel Reyes, Melbourne-based head of Asia-Pacific investment strategy group/regional investment management group.
Axel Lomholt, head of ETFs, International with Vanguard, will replace Ms. Pu as managing director, head of portfolio review, Asia. He will retain his previous responsibilities, the spokeswoman said.
